#MarchMeetTheMaker Day 25 - Being a Maker Means

#MarchMeetTheMaker Day 25- Being a Maker Means After a couple of longer posts over the past few days, I’ll keep this to the point to what I think being a maker means. And I’m sure this isn’t just limited to the makeup industry! 1.       Having the ability to be patient, being patient and have some more patience😁. Whether this is on a photo shoot or at a bridal party- be patient! 2.       Being responsive to people’s needs and not just thinking ‘one look fits all’. 3.       Being able to communicate- this is HUGE! I’ve had lessons off very talented artists before, but their ability to communicate just wasn’t there. It makes a massive difference to me and I know it does to my clients. 4.       Being Persistant. It gets tough. Confidence fluctuates like the big dipper at Blackpool! So linked to this is: 5.       Having the confidence to reach out to someone that will help you. Whether this be a virtual friend or a real life human, you will know what that person does to get you back to where you need to be.Use them! 6.       Creativity. Or course! Makeup is art. If creativity isn’t there, you may struggle. 7.       Knowing the difference between perseverance and being pushy. You don’t get anywhere in life being a wall flower, but likewise you need to have a stop button! 8.       Being kind. Just. Be. kind. It’s simple.  9.       Knowing your audience! Although I love colour, I know I only have a handful of clients that love it like I do! Simple can be beautiful too! 10.   Truly believing the old saying that the sky is the limit. Anything is possible. Just put your trust in it, stop worrying and enjoy the journey. I am! Vic xx
